     Tower defense games are strategy based games, in which the player tries to stop an enemy crossing a defined limit by building towers over and around such area. When the enemy flies over these restricted areas the towers shoot at them. Both the enemies and the towers are differently enabled to attack and defend. Destroying the enemy makes you win money points which can be used to buy tower equipments for better battle. The strategy of the game lays the placement of these towers and the method of attack. 

Tower defense games are characterized by the positioning of static units by the player. This is to defend from an enemy which is mobile.


These enemies aim is to move from a start point towards an end point. There is a fixed number of 'damage' the player can take from units reaching the end point. Certain games use a static route that the enemy units follow around which the player places their towers. While others promote a free environment that allows the user to describe the path the enemy takes. Also, some variants take advantage of mixing both types.
